Then and now

Trianco's history and pedigree can be traced back to the 1850s when Newton Chambers first made coal fire ranges at Thorncliffe in Sheffield under the name of Redfyre. Fireplaces, back boilers and free standing heating stoves followed and, in 1873, the company was awarded the royal warrant to the Queen Mother. The 1940s and 50s saw the company pioneer domestic oil fired boilers and it was amongst the first to launch an oil combi boiler. In the early 1970s they acquired Trianco Stewart, an oil boiler manufacturer, and thus Trianco Redfyre was born.

In 1995, the company became part of the Bullough Group and subsequently Union Investment (a merchant bank based in London). Now the Trianco portfolio is offered by TR Engineering who are backed by the Mountcity Group. TR Engineering is proud to be one of the last remaining British owned domestic boiler manufacturers.

The heating portfolio

Trianco today offers a wide variety of heating products, most still manufactured at the original site in Thorncliffe, Sheffield, varying from the hugely successful Aztec electric range, to more recently the eye-catching range of Newton multi fuel stoves.

 

The EuroStar range of high efficiency Sedbuk 2005 (band A) oil boilers were introduced in January 2011 and proudly feature 'specially matched' Riello burners. Available in kitchen/utility and combi models, the range suits small to large dwellings due to a wide range of outputs. 'Contractor' non condensing oil boilers are also available where legislation permits.

'Activair' air source heat pumps are the renewable product offering, renowned for being the most competitively priced range of ASHP's on the market today and completing the portfolio is the long standing range of TRG & TRH traditional solid fuel boilers and roomheaters.

The company proudly manufactures on-site in Sheffield and also offers engineering solutions using the latest manufacturing technology, producing oil and diesel tanks and undertakes various general fabrication projects.
